Children in Malawi fight climate change

Plant trees! Avoid bush fires! Keep schools green! This was the children’s slogans at a demonstration held by our partner schools in Malawi.

Recently five schools in the School Partnership Program held an Open Day to celebrate nature and their achievement in using permaculture as a means of addressing climate change. The schools have literally turned there compounds from bare barren earth to food baskets and emerging forest. The Director of Education in Malawi and the Norwegian Ambassador were guests of honor. The schools and their partners in Zimbabwe were awarded diploma of good practice by Friendship North/South.
